How to play the Asus2 chord on guitar
Asus2 is A with the 2nd string left open: two fingers, and it rings.
The 3D hands holding Asus2. Switch to 0.5× and turn the guitar to see each finger.
Where the fingers go
- Middle finger (2) on the D (4th) string, fret 2.
- Ring finger (3) on the G (3rd) string, fret 2.
- Let A (5th), B (2nd) and high E (1st) ring open.
- Do not play low E (6th).
Notes in the chord: A – E – B
Tips
- Lift and place one finger to move A – Asus2 – A within a bar.
- Strum from the open 5th string.
- If the three-finger A is too crowded, Asus2 works in its place in most strummed songs.
Practise Asus2 inside a real song
Paste the chords of any song that uses Asus2, or snap a photo of the sheet. SnapFret plays it with the hands, and you can loop the change you find hardest.
