Privacy policy

The short version

SnapFret stores the minimum it needs to run your account. Songs you paste or save are private to you and are never published. We do not sell personal data and we do not use advertising trackers.

What we store

Account: your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google. We record when the account was created and last used.

Saved songs: the song sheets you choose to save and your player settings for them, visible only to you.

Usage counts: how many AI arranges and coach messages you used this month, so free limits can be applied.

Plan: whether you have Pro, until when, and the subscription id from our payment provider. We never see or store your card details.

Email log: which transactional emails were sent to you (not their content).

What we send to other services

AI (Anthropic): when you use AI arranging or the AI coach, the sheet, photo or question you submit is sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to produce the answer. It is used only to answer your request. We do not keep these requests in our logs.

Payments (Polar): checkout, billing and receipts are handled by Polar as merchant of record. Polar receives your email and payment details directly.

Email (Resend): sign-in links and account emails are delivered through Resend.

Sign-in (Google): if you choose Google sign-in, Google tells us your email, name and picture. We do not receive your Google password.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in, and a short-lived one while a sign-in is in progress. The player remembers preferences such as language and instrument in your browser’s local storage. There are no analytics or advertising cookies.

Your choices

You can delete saved songs at any time from My songs.

You can delete your whole account from the account menu. This removes your account, saved songs and email log immediately. An active subscription is set to stop renewing; Polar keeps the billing records it is required to keep.

Children

SnapFret is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so on this page and, for significant changes, by email.
