Why the AI has limits
Playing a song runs in your browser, so it costs nothing and has no limit. Each photo scan, AI arrange and coach answer runs a large AI model in the cloud, and every one of them costs us money.
Clear monthly numbers let us keep Pro at $4.99 a month instead of pricing everyone for the heaviest use. They sit well above what someone practising every day needs: a new song or two a week and a few questions a day leave plenty to spare.
Pricing questions
What counts as an AI arrange?
Reading a photo of a sheet, or asking the AI to arrange pasted text that SnapFret cannot read on its own. Pasting a clean chord sheet does not use one: it plays straight away.
What happens when I reach a limit?
Playing, looping and slowing down keep working. On Free or the trial you can go Pro for more. On Pro the AI comes back on the 1st of the next month.
When do the monthly limits reset?
On the 1st of every month (UTC). Unused scans and messages do not roll over.
How does the free trial work?
Every new account gets 7 days of Pro with 15 AI arranges and 50 coach messages. No card is needed and nothing is charged. When it ends you are on Free, and your saved songs stay.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes, from Manage subscription in your account menu. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for, and then you are on Free.
Can I switch between monthly and yearly?
Monthly to yearly happens right away, and you pay the prorated difference. Yearly to monthly takes effect at your next renewal.
Which currency do I pay in, and is tax included?
Payments go through Polar, our merchant of record. You pay in your local currency where available (US dollars, euros, pounds, yen and more), with tax added or included as your country requires. You see the total before you pay.
Is there a lifetime plan?
No. Every AI arrange and coach answer costs us something each time, so a one-off payment cannot cover AI you use for years. Yearly is the cheapest way to get Pro.
Do you offer refunds?
Refunds follow Polar’s buyer terms and the law in your country. If something went wrong, write to [email protected] and we will sort it out.
